Q:  I would like to join the SI Victims Alliance. How can I apply for it?

A:  Please input the required information in the “Membership Registration” form.
To join, you need to agree to the membership rules and pay the membership fee.

Q:  Can I join the SI Victims Alliance from anywhere in the country/world? Where is the main place of activity?

A:  You can join and work with us regardless of where you live in the country/world.
When holding a SI Victims Alliance meeting, the venue is normally in central Tokyo, but our online meetings can be attended from all over the country/world, using Zoom etc.

Q:  Can you tell me the Prerequisites for Membership of the SI Victims Alliance?

A:  We will confirm your identification and the evidence that your real estate loan by Suruga Bank is a fraudulent loan.

To confirm your loan’s illegality, you need to request information disclosure from Suruga Bank. If you have not requested the information disclosure yet, you will be asked to do so after joining us.

Following four documents are required to join the alliance:

  1. Property’s Sales Contract
  2. Loan Agreement with Suruga Bank
  3. Identification Card (e.g. driver’s license)
  4. Tax Return Documents
Q:  How much is the joining fees?

A:   A monthly membership fee of 5,200 yen is required.
In addition to the membership fee, you may be asked to pay necessary expenses each time it occurs. Attorney fees should be consulted with your delegated lawyer.

Q:  By joining the SI Victims Alliance, can I automatically join the ‘Defense Counsel for Victims of Suruga Bank’s Illegal Loans’?

A:  In order to delegate to The Defense Counsel for Victims of Suruga Bank’s Illegal loans (‘SI Defense Counsel for Victims’),
you need to apply directly to the Defense Counsel. Joining the SI Victims Alliance does not automatically guarantee that your case will be delegated to the SI Defense Counsel.

Q:  I have a loan from Suruga Bank, but I have no idea what to do. Is it possible to consult?

A:  If you are in trouble by purchasing an entire apartment or full building property (not a share house) with Suruga Bank’s loan, you are eligible to join the SI Victims Alliance. Please contact the SI Victims Alliance Administration team first.

Q:  I would like to know more about the SI Victim Alliance before joining. What should I do?

A: We hold regular briefing sessions on the SI Victims Alliance, so please see the information on these sessions and attend them.

Q:  Once I join the SI Victims Alliance, can I leave the rest to you?

A:  This alliance is based on the premise that each member will contribute to on-going activities, and it is not a service where your issues will get resolved itself once you join. Only those who are willing to fight together are welcome to join. It is an alliance by the victims and for the victims.
